McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Saikiran (Sai) Chaluvadi, Ph.D. as Vice President of Research + Development, Scientific Affairs at Liquid I.V. Reporting to the CEO, Sai will drive company success by building a competitive innovation portfolio while leading and managing the research and development team through all facets of the company’s growth.
Sai brings a strong background in food and beverage science and extensive experience formulating beverages. He holds a Ph.D. in food science from Rutgers University and most recently held a role as Vice President of Research and Development and Head of Growth for Harris Freeman, where he transformed the product portfolio by introducing new product platforms and led strategic growth areas in the organization. Sai is a product development intrapreneur and transformative leader with a successful track record in translating consumer research and food science into profitable, award-winning products in both business-to-business and business-to-customer domains.
Liquid I.V. is a 360-degree wellness company based in El Segundo, CA, created to fuel life’s adventures. Their product line features great-tasting, non-GMO, electrolyte drink mixes utilizing Cellular Transport Technology® to enhance the rapid absorption of water and other key ingredients into the bloodstream—helping consumers feel better, faster.
