McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Johanne Lapointe as the Director of Internal Audit for Washington Trust Bank. Johanne will be tasked with leading the internal audit team in the strategic development and execution of the risk-based, integrated audit plan for the holding company and its subsidiaries. She will also lead the independent evaluation of the quality of the portfolios and lending practices, the adequacy of the systems of internal control, and the quality of ongoing operations within the entire organization.

Johanne Lapointe brings 25 years of diverse internal audit experience. Prior to joining Washington Trust Bank, Johanne served as the Senior Vice President of Internal Audit with $3.6B Bar Harbor Bank. Earlier in her career, she spent 12 years as an internal audit manager with global life insurance firm, John Hancock Financial Services.
