McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Kevin Thompson as the Chief Financial Officer at First Foundation Inc. (NASDAQ: FFWM), a financial services company with two wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, First Foundation Advisors and First Foundation Bank. In leading the finance function, Kevin will develop and provide critical financial reporting, information, and insight to key stakeholders, ensuring a focus on the key financial drivers of the organization. He will work closely with First Foundation’s collaborative executive leadership team and board, serving as an advisor and partner.

Kevin joins First Foundation from $7 billion Opus Bank following its acquisition by Pacific Premier Bank. Prior to his tenure as the Chief Financial Officer at Opus, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for American Express Centurion Bank, and later Midland States Bank, as well as serving as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis for Zions Bancorporation. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in international finance and his MBA from Brigham Young University.
