As Principal with McDermott + Bull in the Vancouver office, Alex brings over 20 years of experience in executive search. He has a strong track record of success partnering with client organizations to deliver best-in-class talent in a diverse set of industries and functional areas. At McDermott + Bull, Alex’s practice is focused on post-secondary education, NPOs, healthcare, professional colleges and associations, and municipalities.
Early in his career, Alex cut his teeth in a boutique search firm specializing in academic recruitment. Prior to joining McDermott + Bull, Alex served as a Senior Associate for an international search firm where he took on a broader portfolio which included healthcare and life sciences, NPOs, and professional services. He was responsible for the placement of C-Suite and senior leaders originating within Canada and internationally.
Born in Southern Ontario, Alex studied music at Humber College in Toronto. After moving to the West Coast, Alex completed a BA in Liberal and Business Studies at Simon Fraser University.
