November 3, 2014 — Agilium Worldwide is pleased to announce the election of Pedro J. Nieto, founding partner of Madrid-based executive search firm Ellis & Partners, as its new global Chairperson.

Having previously served on the Agilium Worldwide Executive Committee as Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa, from 2012 to 2014, Pedro thanks outgoing Chair Xavier de Zamacona of DeZaSearch, Mexico, for giving of his time and energy serving our members, thus adding value to our global clients’ executive search needs.

“I am honoured to have been elected Chairman of Agilium Worldwide,” Pedro said. “I look forward to working with our Regional Directors and our Executive Director Malcolm Coates of MC Consulting International, Paris/London, to continue with our global expansion and further develop our services: local approach with a global perspective.”

Agilium Worldwide is an international strategic group of independent, owner managed retained executive search firms with members in virtually every market.

Founded as the World Search Group in 1984, we are now 35 members in 34 countries worldwide and still growing. In March 2010, we changed our name to Agilium Worldwide – Executive Search Group to better reflect our key characteristics and relevancy in the new global business environment.

“One of the main challenges that we are facing is to assert the Agilium name, which in Latin transmits the idea of agility. Agilium members are particularly and decisively adaptable to our client’s needs, detecting talent locally and globally. We simplify our client’s former task of contracting several executive search firms worldwide,” said Pedro.

Currently ranked among the top 20 executive search organizations in the world, Agilium Worldwide’s vision is to build on its 30 years of experience and success in the global market.

Prior to founding Ellis & Partners, Pedro held several positions at Prodesfarma and Boehringer Mannheim-Roche Diagnostics until he was appointed General Manager at Grupo Vita and later C.E.O. at Laboratorios Salvat. He is currently member of the board of Lopez de Haro Bank and President´s advisor of Banco Desarrollo Industrial (Dominican Republic).
