IRVINE, California, February 5, 2018 – McDermott & Bull is pleased to announce the successful appointment of John Manzanares as Vice President of Information Technology with CoolSys, the parent company of businesses that provide service experiences and solutions to the retail, commercial, and industrial refrigeration and HVAC industries.
This executive recruiting engagement was conducted by Chris Bull, Managing Partner, and Rob Gross, Associate Principal Consultant; along with Brittany Rausch, Recruiting Associate at McDermott & Bull. According to Bull, “John is an experienced, hands-on leader who will make a significant impact at CoolSys. In addition to his impressive background, John is currently the So. Cal. Chapter Chairman of the Society for Information Management (SIM). This speaks to the type of leadership presence he has in the IT community, and we know he will do very well at CoolSys.”
Within his leadership experience, Manzanares has transformed teams to improve overall IT efficiency, developed a cyber intelligence strategy, created cyber security departments, and implemented new ERP systems. In his prior role with Daylight Transport, Manzanares worked with automating processes within the dispatch environment and distributed teams. He moved all matters to the cloud, such as the HR system and facility call center, as well as opened new locations in Dallas and Houston while taking the company from three to seven terminals.
Manzanares received a B.S. in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
