IRVINE, California, March 24, 2014 – McDermott & Bull, a premier Southern California-based retained executive search firm, announced today the successful appointment of Mr. D’Auria as Chief Banking Officer with Silvergate Bank, located in La Jolla, California.
This executive recruiting engagement was conducted by Brandon Biegenzahn, Principal Consultant, at McDermott & Bull Executive Search. Mr. D’Auria is a thirty five year commercial banker who demonstrates a consistent track record of building teams for growth and profitability. He most recently worked for Opus Bank where he was responsible for the growth and profitability of the Commercial Banking Divison. Prior to his time with Opus Bank, Mr. D’Auria has worked with US Bank/San Diego National Bank, Comerica Bank/Imperial Bank, and Wells Fargo in Senior Vice President roles.
Mr. D’Auria has served as past President and is currently on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement and was Board Chairman of the organization. Mr. D’Auria was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Ashford University. Mr. D’Auria received his Bachelor of Arts, Real Estate Finance from California State University, Fullerton. He earned his Master of Business Administration, Corporate Finance from the University of Southern California, where he has also taught undergraduate classes. Mr. D’Auria also has his Real Estate Broker’s License.
