IRVINE, California, January 18, 2015 – McDermott & Bull, a Southern California-based retained executive search firm, announced today the successful appointment of Pete Anderson as Vice President of Operations with Thrush Aircraft, one of the most innovative companies in aviation today.

Mr. Anderson attended The Citadel on an ROTC scholarship and then joined the Air Force working in a number of aviation related roles with increasing leadership responsibility. After being honorably discharged from the service in January of 2009, he accepted a New Equipment Training Officer position with Raytheon working primarily in Afghanistan providing training and support for the company’s ISR systems. He was quickly recruited away to work for Danaher Corporation, where he worked first as a Production Manager and then as Operations Manager. In 2010, Mr. Anderson joined Boeing working first as Senior Manufacturing Manager on the Boeing 787 Final Assembly line in Everett, WA before being transferred to Boeing’s new South Carolina operation, quickly applying what he had learned at Danaher and Boeing in Everett to help build teams at the new facility and then to improve performance metrics across his areas of responsibility. Most recently, Mr. Anderson worked on startup efforts for Gulfstream’s new 500 and 600 lines. A thoughtful student of Lean Manufacturing methodology, Mr. Anderson’s professional experience has prepared him very well for the VP of Operations role at Thrush.
Mr. Anderson earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Citadel and his Master of Business Administration from University of South Carolina.
