IRVINE, LOS ANGELES, PLEASANTON, and WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California, September 28, 2010 – McDermott & Bull, a Southern California-based executive search firm, announced today the successful appointment of Mr. David Parry as Vice President of Engineering for Solarflare Communications in Irvine, California.

Prior to joining Solarflare, Mr. Parry served in a variety of executive roles at Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI), a leading engineering and business management efforts for server and storage products. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President at SGI and was responsible for product strategy and roadmap, engineering, marketing, and business management for SGI’s server product line and applications / performance engineering. Prior to SGI, Mr. Parry held various engineering and management positions in microprocessor and computer systems design at MIPS Computer Systems and Hewlett-Packard.

Mr. Parry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
