McDermott + Bull has been engaged to lead the search for Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Dean, School for Advanced Digital Technologies. This search will be led by McDermott + Bull Principal Alex Verdecchia and Senior Consultant and Head of Recruitment Brittany Stansfield.
The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a polytechnic institute in Calgary, Alberta, with a vision to become a global leader in applied education. Building on its 100+ year history SAIT continues to reimagine the workforce of tomorrow and continues to train hit-the-ground-ready, future-proofed graduates.
Reporting to the Vice President, Academic, the Dean is a member of SAIT’s senior academic leadership team and will work across campus to advance the school and the institution. The Dean must facilitate strong industry alliances to understand and identify how best to align curriculum, delivery and assessment to meet industry requirements. A growth and global mindset is a necessity to continue the school’s development and reputation, ensuring an increase in worldwide recognition.
The ideal candidate will thrive on inspiring others, foster a culture of authenticity and transparency, and drive innovation and excellence in education. We are looking for someone who can inspire faculty, staff, and students to reach their full potential while championing an inclusive and collaborative environment. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is required with a doctoral degree in an applied discipline preferred.
