McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Gary Kokonyan as the Vice President of Business Analytics at Wescom Credit Union. Gary will be charged with providing leadership, direction, and oversight for the Business Analytics Department and leading the Credit Union’s efforts to develop advanced predictive models to increase marketing ROI and member service.
Gary brings nearly 20 years of technical, data analytics, and business intelligence experience. Prior to joining Wescom, Gary spent 14 years with Farmers Insurance in senior data roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as the Senior Director, Office of the Chief Data Officer. In this role, he led a 55-person data analytics team focused on breaking down silos to further understand the needs of the company’s 11 million customers and their households at the enterprise level. Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in computer science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his MBA from Pepperdine University.
Today, with more than $4B in assets, Wescom serves nearly 200,000 members throughout 23 branches of five counties in Southern California.
