McDermott + Bull has successfully placed Thomas Finan as Vice President of Operations and Asset Management, Hospitality at Ascendant Capital Partners (Ascendant). Thomas will oversee the operational strategies and asset management of Ascendant’s hospitality portfolio, focusing on enhancing asset performance, strategic planning, and driving significant value creation across the portfolio.
Thomas brings a wealth of experience in hospitality asset management, with a robust background in investment banking and portfolio management within the hospitality sector. He most recently served as Vice President of Asset Management at Ashford, Inc., where he successfully managed a diverse portfolio of full-service properties and significantly enhanced their operational efficiencies and profitability.
Ascendant is a vertically integrated real estate investment and operating vehicle. The company has full discretion over commingled institutional funds and an investment focus on the hospitality and residential sectors, and selected opportunistic special situations supported by structural changes in demographics and consumer behavior.
